Hello, I’m Gaurav Bhalla.
Usually this section on a website is written in third person. But I’d like to break with tradition and write in first person, because I’m writing about myself. You know that.
And… because I am keen on having a conversation with you…
First, a few details about my work related journeys.
I am a vastly experienced and trusted expert in Leadership, Marketing, Innovation, Marketing, and Strategy. I have been global long before it became fashionable to talk about being global, and have served executives and organizations on 5 different continents and 30+ different countries as a speaker, trainer, consultant, and coach. My clients consider me both a thinker and a doer, equally committed to cutting edge ideas and inspiring Monday-morning action. Which is why my company is called Knowledge Kinetics, because while possessing knowledge is important, applying it to solve real-life decision problems is even more important.
I have experienced the world of work as a C-suite and multinational executive, a business consultant, entrepreneur, executive education specialist, academic, author, speaker, and coach. At the end of 2016, as a recognition my skills, reputation, and experience, I won the “2016 Executive Education Specialist of the Year” award, presented by AI Global Media, a UK-based media and information company.
A sampling of my corporate clients include Glaxo, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Capital One, Axis Bank, Citi, MetLife, Bank of America, Caterpillar, Maersk, Audi, ESSAR, Deloitte, PwC, T. Rowe Price, Randstad, Sprint, Hershey, Marriott, and Heinz.
Additionally, I have also designed and implemented executive education programs at Leading Business Schools like Georgetown, Duke, Singapore Management University, University of Maryland, GIBS-South Africa, Indian School of Business, and at Corporate Universities of companies like Glaxo, Sprint, Kodak, Hallmark, Deloitte, IBM, Boeing, and Texas Instruments.
Now a few words about where I’m headed…
My unabashed passion, my WHY, my BECAUSE, my PURPOSE (whichever word or expression you prefer) is Soulful LeadershipTM.
What is Soulful LeadershipTM you ask?
Soulful LeadershipTM is a visionary manifesto for the 21st century. It’s the theme of my most recent book, “Awakening A Leader’s Soul: Learnings Through Immortal Poems.” A new human-centric narrative, it reimagines leadership’s purpose and rethinks its outcomes. Soulful LeadershipTM contends and declares that in today’s complex, connected, and conflicted world, the humanity of leaders – who they are, what they stand for, and what they are willing to fight for – is significantly more important than their executive brilliance. Because the main purpose of leadership is not to benefit just the privileged and powerful few, but to make the world a better place, by increasing the wellbeing and prosperity of the greatest many. And this can happen only when today’s and tomorrow’s leaders learn to lead with their humanity, because while the head maybe smart, the soul is smarter and wiser.
After reading the book, the reviewer of Foreword Reviews, one of USA’s leading book review agencies, said, the world needs more Soulful Leaders. It certainly does. Leadership needs a renaissance. And if you believe that too, please get in touch. Together, I’m sure we could make a difference.
